Sweet G Super Soap Box Derby Returns to Pittsfield's Westside

Families are invited to cheer on racers at the annual Sweet G Super Soap Box Derby, hosted by the Westside Legends on Saturday, August 9 from 12 to 4 p.m. (rain date Sunday, August 10). This lively community event offers fun for all ages, with check-in beginning at noon and the first race kicking off at 12:30 p.m.
The derby features two race divisions: one for kids and one for adults ages 18 and older. Trophies will be awarded in both divisions, along with a prize for Best Show Car. Racers will zoom down Robbins Avenue with the finish line set at Southern Avenue.
In addition to the racing action, families can enjoy food from Cravin’s Ice Cream and Ernie’s Hot Dogs.
